Mario R. Spasiano
Director of the Master’s Program in Public Procurement and Government Contracts at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”
Throughout his career, Mario has taught extensively in the fields of Administrative Law, Administrative Justice, Urban Planning Law, Public Works Law, Cultural Heritage Law, and Environmental Law at both Italian and international universities.
He serves as Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs at his university and as Director of the Second-Level University Master’s Program in Government Contracts. He formerly served as President of the Standing Conference of University Colleges under the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR).
He is an advisor to the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security.
He has served as national coordinator of PRIN research projects (Projects of Significant National Interest), as a member of the Executive Board of AIPDA—the Italian Association of Administrative Law Professors—and as a member of the Executive Board of the Italian Association of Urban Planning Law.
He is Vice-President of the Italian-Argentine Association of Administrative Law Professors. He co-directs the journal Nuove Autonomie and its associated book series. He is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the Rivista Giuridica dell’Edilizia, as well as of the governing boards and evaluation committees of several leading legal journals.
He is the author of five monographs, the director and editor of numerous legal volumes, and the author of more than 180 essays and articles published in Italian and international academic journals. He has also led major publishing initiatives, including, together with Guillermo Scheibler, a collection of studies on Agustín Gordillo.
