Carlos F. Balbín
Full Professor of Administrative Law, Faculty of Law, University of Buenos Aires (UBA)
Lawyer, Specialist in Administrative Law and Public Administration, and Doctor of Law from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He also holds a specialization in Constitutional Law and Political Science from the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies of Spain.
He is a tenured Full Professor of Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires and a postgraduate professor at the University of Buenos Aires, Universidad de San Andrés, Universidad Libre (Colombia), University of Barcelona (Spain), University of Perugia (Italy), and Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He also serves as Director of the Specialization Program and Master’s Degree in Administrative Law and Public Administration, as well as the Center for Studies on Transparency and the Fight against Corruption at the UBA Faculty of Law.
In the public sector, he served as Deputy Attorney General for Administrative and Tax Matters of the City of Buenos Aires and as Treasury Attorney General of Argentina. He currently serves as a Judge of the Court of Appeals for Administrative, Tax and Consumer Relations Matters of the City of Buenos Aires.
He is President of the Association for the Study of Public and Administrative Law and an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation of Spain. In 2016, he was awarded the Platinum Konex Award.
