Marcela De Langhe
Lawyer and specialist in Criminal Law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Buenos Aires. Specialist in Public Security Policies (UBA). PhD in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from Universidad del Salvador. Postdoctoral studies at the University of Bologna and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Constitutional Justice and Human Rights (University of Bologna). She is currently a member of the Superior Court of Justice of the City of Buenos Aires and President of the Academic Council of the Judicial Training Center. Former Judge of the Court of Cassation and Appeals in Criminal, Juvenile Criminal, Misdemeanor and Administrative Offenses matters of the City of Buenos Aires, and of the Guarantee Court No. 3 of the Judicial Department of San Isidro. Former Director of the Higher Institute of Public Security of the City of Buenos Aires. Former Founding Rector of the University Institute of Security (IUSE). Associate Professor (UBA). Researcher (UBA). Author of numerous books and articles in her field, as well as coordinator and editor of several Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure collections. She is Director of the Association of Women Judges of Argentina (AMJA) and member of various institutions, including the Argentine Association of Criminal Law Professors, the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ), and the Women’s Network for Justice. She also serves as an ad hoc member of the Federal Advisory Council on Police Training (CAFFOP), member of the Board of Directors of Reflejar, the Judicial Training Institute of Ju.Fe.Jus., and external consultant for the National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU).
