Patricia Valcárcel Fernández

Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Vigo

She has been a member of the OBCP since its inception. Her main line of research since completing her doctoral thesis has been public procurement, and she has led several research projects on the subject, as well as numerous knowledge transfer activities.

In terms of management roles, she has served as Vice-Rector for Faculty Affairs at the University of Vigo, Deputy Manager for Procurement, and Advisor to the Rector on public procurement and administrative procedures.

She was also a member of the Administrative Procurement Board of the Xunta de Galicia.

She is currently leading a European project within the European Procurement Law Group on public procurement of AI. As part of this initiative, a book is already in the editing phase with Edward Elgar Publishing.

She is a member of the Expert Group on AI created by the Xunta de Galicia.
