Leandro Vergara
He is the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and Full Professor of Civil and Commercial Obligations. He has also served as director of numerous postgraduate and doctoral programs.
He completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of León, Spain.
He is a former member of the Governing Council of UBA’s Faculty of Law, former Undersecretary for Legal Affairs of the University of Buenos Aires, and has also served as Dean of the University of Palermo.
As an academic, he has taught postgraduate and doctoral courses in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Spain, and Italy.
He has published books and articles in his field both in Argentina and internationally.
Throughout his professional career, he has also held positions on the Board of Directors of the Public Bar Association of the Federal Capital and the Association of Lawyers of the City of Buenos Aires.
He has served as a member of the impeachment jury of the Judiciary Council of the City of Buenos Aires, and on the trial jury of the Public Defender’s Office.
He was also a member of the first institutional mediation initiative at the Ministry of Justice in 1994.
