Javier Dávila Pérez
He is the Chief of the Operations Financial Management and Procurement Services Office at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), responsible for the fiduciary oversight of more than 650 operations across the Bank’s portfolio in 26 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The team led by Javier also promotes the adoption of best practices in financial management and procurement within the country systems of IDB member countries.
Prior to joining the IDB, Javier held high-level positions in Mexico’s Federal Government in the financial, energy, and public procurement sectors. He has combined his professional practice with academic work, having served as a faculty member at Tecnológico de Monterrey and other prestigious universities across Latin America. He is a frequent speaker at international forums and the author of several academic articles on procurement, econometrics, finance, and risk management.
Javier Dávila holds a degree in Economics and a Ph.D. in Financial Sciences.
